Dr. Laurie Susan Novosad, MD

I saw Dr Matthews on Wednesday for painful, bleeding, stage 3 hemorrhoids. She said that the only thing that would truly be effective would be surgery, so we scheduled for the next Wednesday. A couple days later I ended up in the hospital because I was bleeding, the really big hemorrhoids were hanging out and I was in an extreme amount of pain. I was admitted to the hospital that night, stayed all the next day, with IV pain medication and was supposed to have surgery the next morning. Dr Matthews was out so Dr Novosad was filling in. She suggested that I go home and try to get the hemorrhoids to shrink before surgery using a bunch of home remedy type stuff without the use of any pain medication that is strong enough to help. I called Dr. Novosad to explain, again, the amount of pain that I am in and she said she wouldn’t do anything to help me and suggested that I sit in a warm bath. I went from an ER doctor putting me in the hospital on IV pain medication, and scheduled to have… surgery, to Dr Novosad sending me home and asking me to sit in a warm bath. I am in more pain than I have ever felt in my life and she will not help me. Do not go to Dr Novosad unless you want to see a doctor that doesn’t give a damn about how you feel.

Dr. Novosad was awesome. However, her staff was awful. Courtney, her practice manager, said she would call me back at specific times and dates. She never called back when she said she would. When Courtney finally contacted me, she contradicted everything Dr. Novosad said during my appointment. She kept sighing when I tried to talk and talked over me. I cannot recommend this practice due to the horrible staff.

She was the most rude DR I have ever been to I was recommended to see her because she was in Sherman I waited an hr in the waiting room the Dr visit was horrible she was Awful she looked at me and told me she did not want to see me again that I need to use my dr in Plano it cost me 325.00 to see her and that was the biggest waste of money I guess she found out I don’t have insurance so she couldn’t make enough money off me I will tell everyone one I know about the experience I had with her Stay away fro her

I highly recommend dr Novosad for her professionalism at the same time compassionate. She put me at ease immediately emotionally but I am 100% confident in her surgical skill and knowledge. I have had 1 surgery and 1 procedure over a 3 yr period. Both successful. I wouldn't go to any other dr for colon needs. Thank you Dr for what you do!!
