Laurie Swaim

While my review is 23 years overdue, she was my doctor for both of my pregnancies. She provided excellent patient care and timely information for me and both of my children.

She is sincere, warm, great bedside manner, smart as a whip!!! Just love her!!!

She is smart, straight to the point and very intelligent. I am surprised to read that some think she does not have a good bedside manner, because thankfully, I've experienced otherwise with her. She has always made me feel comfortable and at ease even when I am really worried about something. She calms me down and gives me a solution. She is very confident and experienced and that's why I go to her. I followed her to her new office at Baylor. The only thing is, she only practices on Monday and Friday, so it's very hard to get in. Also, she isn't able to spend a lot of time with patients, as she is very busy, but she answers all your questions and makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend her if you want a no nonsense doctor who knows her stuff.

Dr. Swaim is a very good MD, but the wait times are getting to be ridiculously unbearable. I waited for 2 hours today and was seen for for about 3-5 minutes. This is very poor customer service, particularly that I offered to come back within 10 minutes if they gave me a call, after the 30 minute mark. Instead, they kept me waiting, I guess their time is more valuable than mine. After years of going to Dr. Swaim, following her wherever she moved, now in her new location at Baylor...it might be just time to switch.

Dr. Swaim has excellent credentials which is why I go to her. Nonetheless, my primary MD, ENT, allergist, dentist, rheumatologist etc. makes me wait only 1-15 minutes then I am seen and they are all excellent. For my most recent visit, I waited for almost 2 hours; for the last one, I waited more than 2 hours. She also seems so rushed and hurried as she is running behind. I have not seen the MD-patient time that everyone has been talking about here and just wanted others to know. I would still see her since I am confident in her abilities, but will definitely bring a book or something next time.

Dr. Swaim was excellent and made me feel very comfortable with an appointment that can often be very stressful. I would recommend her services to anyone.

I recommend this doctor because she is good at what she does, is a good communicator and is understanding of women's issues. She is thorough and made me feel comfortable. Her staff got back to me in a timely manner.

She is excellent! I always feel comfortable and confident with her. She is not a beat around the bush kind of doctor, she tells it like it is. I appreciate that so much!
