Used methidist hospital union ave.mphs tn.during my 24 hr stay hospital said they didnt have orders from dr.lovell on meds i was to have.I stayed awake all night in pain being miserable after surgery.next morning 2 hrs before discharge semmes and murphys staff showed up avoiding talk with or seeing me.yes i was at that time angry lying all night awake in pain!telling lovell he avoided comfortation on the issue.i felt it as wam bam thank you maam surgery.wasnt given any orders on post op. at all.i didnt go to last appt at his office for x rays with feeling it didnt matter to him.i have used dr.lovell with two other surgerys in lower back over the yrs.hating to try another in main stream of things.Maybe being my fault.Is this normal practice in todays medical care?i hear of this so often.

Dr. Lovell helped me with my degenerate disc disease. He in my opinion is one of the best doctors that I know. I had several fusions C3 - C7 and into T1. If you’re looking for a neurologist he’s your guy. I’m hoping I can get in bc I I have another ruptured disc.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lovell since 2003. My respect for him as a neurosurgeon, a veteran & person, has no bounds. I genuinely believes he cares for me personally & I trust him completely. So grateful to have found him so many years ago.

I've had back surgery by dr Lovell and I WD let him do it again. I never had a pain I came outta recovery and started walking. No therapy either. He just fixed the nerves in my right hand. It's feeling better. I recommend him to my family and friends he is the very best. I love how he takes time and explain things to me. I love my dr so much. He's good to me. Wasn't for him and god's grace I just don't know. Thanks Dr

I would not recommend this doctor. does not care. too big of a hurry to make social events. no bedside manner. superior attitude

Dr Lovell is an excellent surgeon with a genuine love for his patients. He performed a 3 level cervical fusion and it was a complete success. I would never go to any other physician.
