Dr. Lawrence Steven Beck, MD

I had been having various physical complaints of neck and back pain, as well as numbing/tingling in my extremities.  After “passing” his battery of tests, he concluded my sx’s were psychosomatic and chalked them up to anxiety and situational stressors. I directly inquired if symptoms could be related to a pinched nerve or back issue, and Dr. Beck quickly dismissed that as well. Upon my insistence to find the root cause of my symptoms he offered to refer me for an MRI, although he stated, “if you were my brother I wouldn’t recommend the MRI”. Maybe being Board Certified in Psychiatry, Dr. Beck focused more on my awareness of sx’s rather than the sx’s themselves.  Secondly, nobody from the office ever followed up to schedule the MRI I had still wanted. For these reasons, unfortunately I cannot recommend Dr. Beck no matter how pleasant and kind he was. I did later pursue an MRI referral on my own, which did conclude degenerative disk disease and multiple pinched nerves in my neck and back

I spent a year under Dr Becks care. I thought he would be a good doctor given his reviews.Maybe its because he is older now but he hasn't helped me at all in the last year. Every visit he would say lets give it more time and wait for a year since diagnosis. It has now been a year and I have a new doctor who has ordered more blood work and test in 1 month then Dr Beck did all year.

This doctor assumed because I looked “good” I had no medical problem. He recommended a glass of wine and relax. A couple months later boy did I have a chance to relax..recovering from a craniotomy.

Manager is very unprofessional with patients and staff. Does not close to window to address the staff and violates hippa by speaking about patients bills in front of entire waiting area

dr. Beck was rude and lacked compassion. He refused to take me seriously and did not know about latest technology when it came to brain scanning to detect subtle brain changes and did not know about details he should of known as a DR. The tech who does the EEG is very rough. overall disapointed and this is most important issue of my life.
