Dr. Lawrence Estel Banta, MD

I've seen countless doctors over the past ten years but iv stayed with Dr. Banta for the past seven. Unlike some psychiatrist who've prescribe meds uniformly or have given up and referred me to impatient. Banta will prescribe the right medication at the right dose with very few adjustments as soon as your first visit. Explain any symptoms the best you can and he'll pinpoint and treat the root of problem.

Our first few visits, Dr. Banta was fine. However, when the patient was experiencing increasing falls, his only solution was to prescribe MORE medication. He ended our appointment saying that we had taken up too much of his time, that he had other patients to see, got up and walked out of his office without saying goodbye. I was surprised by his rudeness. He simply could have said I'm sorry, I don't have any other ideas, or can we make another appointment so we can talk about this more.

Dr Banta is kind and thoughtful and is a good listener. He is well respected by patients and colleagues. I recommend him highly.

This is a doc that works for more than just money and I can vouch for his professionalism as he has treated me several times and several members of my family also. He is on top of the list in this person's book and I would rather cut off my tounge rather than go see someone else.

I would not go anywhere else. I drive from Boise. Under a prior doctor's care I could not get stabalized. Even worse I would get the severe side effects from mend prescribed that in 2 cases sent me to the hospital. I'm doing really well under Dr. Banta's care now.
