Dr. Lawrence John Cook, MD

I was and remain appalled by Dr. Cook’s horrendous bedside manner. There are many cardiologists in the Valley - I would never recommend this one.

Dr. Cook has been my cardiologist for 10+ years. His patience with my questions and attempts to acquire knowledge regarding my health conditions is unfailing. He explains medical conditions in laymen's terms, never adopting a superiority attitude. His knowledge regarding his medical specialty appears to me to be quite extraordinary. Highly recommended!

Dr. Cook is the cardiologist for both my parents. He always has time to answer questions and in a way that everyone can understand. He has an excellent bedside manner.

After going to another cardiologist in the area for 15 years, neither my husband nor I felt we were getting answers that made sense to our conditions so I contacted Dr. Cook. This doctor is one of the most thorough doctors I have ever met. He takes the time to explain things and speaks with you as if you are an intelligent person. He does not talk down to you but includes you in ever facet of your diagnosis. Although my husband and I didn't like what we heard, we both agree he is doing the best anyone could do to treat our conditions and are confident in his treatment. All of the people in the practice are very helpful and do their utmost to make you comfortable. I am happy to give him a 5 star rating.

Dr Cook is terrific and I have every confidence in him.

The nicest office and the Dr is so incredibly wonderful down to earth. Explains everything in a way one can understand. Highly highly recommend this entire office.

Dr. Cook seems very nice & knowledgeable. The receptionist is extremely rude & untruthful. Claimed to have left 2 messages of change of appointment times. I can tell from my phone if she called & voice messages. I have no record of either. On another occasion she promised twice to call with a time for a stress test. I had to call her twice to get a time. Unfortunately, a doctor can sometimes be judged by the quality of his or her office staff. Dr. Cook needs to get rid of this receptionist in order for me to continue as a patient. I give a 2 star rating because of the receptionist.

Dr. Cook is very personable and prompt at my appoinment time. He is very caring and I trust him in knowing what is best for me. I would always recommend others to see him.(His office staff are geat as well.

M, the receptionist/nurse is snippy & isn't supportive of patient care or the Dr. She doesn't communicate directly with patient re: refills but says, "I told the pharmacy to tell you to make an appointment." She puts you on hold w/o permission and very dismissive in her manner. Dr. Cook, on the other hand, is very warm, personable, competent and caring. I highly recommend him if you can tolerate his office staff.

Dr Cook is a no nonsense lifesaver!
