Dr. Lawrence M Houston, MD

Oh my goodness, the most rude, unprofessional, lazy office helper (front desk elderly woman) that we have ever encountered. Walk up to her window and the huge mess says it all!!! Patient files, covered in dust, stacked and half way falling over. She rudely gives you the paperwork (horrible forms) to complete and requires the patient to do all the work that typically is completed from the doctors office staff. As she states, she’s too busy, you do it! First visit with Dr. Lawrence Houston was impressive in the fact of the amount of time he spent with the patient. We were concerned though, because of the extreme mess of the office, not sure of the protection of patient medical records, and the office helper’s attitude but decided let’s give the doctor a try. Our second visit we were greeted with even more unprofessionalism, laziness, etc. Even though we sat in the waiting room completing all forms, (the office helper’s typical responsibilities, getting addresses, fax numbers, etc.… for her because she stated she’s too busy). She even had a problem supplying the 9 sheets of paper. Definitely was a feeling and look of financial problems. Gave us the impression this practice is BROKE. Dr. Lawrence Houston came out to us in the waiting room very stern saying something to the effect. Its hard to make money as a single provider (doctor) office so the patient needs to do all the paperwork. He can’t spend the money on office things, etc., etc., etc. NEWS FLASH Dr. Lawrence Houston, you are there to provide a service to the patients!!!!! It’s not the patients responsibility to service your “lack of handling your financial affairs”.

I have been a patient of Dr Houston every since he started practicing. He is our family doctor. Both my children & one granddaughter are under his care as we'll. I'm always able to get in. When he has trouble trying to pin down my diagnosis, he will send me to a specialist he knows personally. It is very hard to find good doctors today and I consider him to be one of the best family practitioner in his field.

I have gone to Dr Houston for many years and he is easy to get into and takes time to explain any issues. Everything has gone as planned.
