Dr. Lawrence Robert Hyman, MD

Dr. Hyman is a wonderful psychiatrist. He is caring, compassionate, and non-judgmental. He tells it like it is and at the same time, is gentle with his patients and does not push them. I started seeing him about ten years ago, and though I no longer need to visit regularly, his advice has always stuck with me. He is the most caring and knowledgeable physician I have ever met. I am thankful I came across him in my time of need.

I would send anyone I cared about to see Dr. Hyman. He walked with me through a very sad time and helped me see a light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Human truly cares, listens and provides great practical advice. Tell him about your worst anger and deepest pain and he will be there to work you through it.

Dr. Hyman is honest, patient, and respectful. He is competent and well-educated in his field. During the last 10 years, I've been to several other psychiatrists in the Howard County area who were all considered "the best" by those who referred them. In my opinion, Dr. Hyman was the only one who really deserved that compliment. He is the best listener, and he shows a genuine concern for his patients' well-being. Furthermore, he conducts his own scientific research to finds out which prescription drugs work the best for each psychiatric condition. He really makes a sincere effort to target the root of his patients' problems, make an accurate diagnosis, and immediately begin treatment while keeping detailed records of all progress. I highly recommend Dr. Hyman. I can honestly say, he saved my life.
