Dr. Lawrence Norman Larabee, MD

I had severe knee pain after an injury and was referred to Dr Larabee. His staff arranged a prompt appointment and I saw his FNP She ordered an PT and medicine. After little improvement an MRI showed a meniscal tear and cartiledge damage. I was scheduled for knee surgery that went off without a hitch. I could never have a better experience or outcome. Thank you Dr Larabee.

I went in to have knee surgery done.Doctor larabee SR did not follow up with me after the surgery..what he did do was call my wife on the waiting room phone to let her know what he did during surgery an how is was doing i had a follow up appt with him an i didn't even get to See nor talk with him at that appt had to talk with the RN and PA..after the knee surgery im suppossed to be better an have No problems.That is NOT the case at all..Have tryed to See him constantly..no luck at all..And my knee is in worse pain than what i started with..feel there's no knee there at all..more than likely will need a whole knee replacement now..because of Dr larabee not doing his job the correct way..Then i hear from others..Noo you went to Dr larabee..hes no good..now i cant get any help from anyone in his office..an told to go to er.. what are they going to do??? Good luck to you all seeing this Messed up doctor..he'll just mess you up more..Warning.. Stay Away from him!

I was in a lot of knee pain and I called for an appointment. I was told I could see the PA now but not the doctor. I told her that I wanted to see Dr. Larabee. She said that you will have to wait three weeks before you can see him. So she gave me an appointment for three weeks later. I waited three weeks to see the doctor. After being put into a room and the PA comes in and I asked if the doctor was in and the answer was yes. I never saw the doctor after waiting that long to see him. My doctors office even called his office for him to see me sooner because of my condition but his office would not give an appointment with him sooner than three weeks and after waiting three weeks I still got the PA, NOT the doctor. I had heard that Dr. Larabee was a good doctor, thats why I was willing to wait so long to see him. You should always see the one that you make the APPOINTMENT with. Big disapointment

I had from bone on bone left hip diagnosis and elected to have total hip replacement at 63.5 years old. Doc Larabee and staff provided me with excellent pre and post opt advisement and care. I was walking w/o cane/walker in one week , played 18 holes of golf in 14 days and walked 18 holes in 17 days. I was active prior to the surgery and did extra exercise provide during pre opt instructions. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Larabee if you are considering total hip replacement. His expertise and the local hospital is excellent for preparation, surgery and post surgery care.

I am pleased with Dr. Larabee and those who work with him. I am uncomfortable with doctors and medicine and it takes a lot to get me to see a doctor. Dr. Larabee gets to know his patients on the first visit. He is energetic and very busy but has made time to answer my questions. His staff has been wonderful, when I was barely able to walk they signed me in telling me to take a seat. They have been patient with me opening doors and stopping and waiting as I limped my way to a room. During surgery the hospital staff was patient with me and showed compassion and offered support toward my fears and worries about my surgery. During surgery Dr. Larabee took the time to repair more damage to my knee than initially expected. After surgery I struggled to get back on my feet and was working and trying too hard too fast. Dr. Larabee sent me to physical therapy and they are helping me to get back up on my feet as quickly as possible by working the correct muscles and allowing my knee to heal and… the swelling to go down. I have been working my knee muscles keeping my knee irritated and the swelling up. I do not like doctors, sickness, ailments, etc... It's due mostly to fear of the unknown, the indignities of treatments, and the impression, given by commercials mostly, of medical experimentation. Dr. Larabee and everyone working with him did NOT impose such feelings on me. Instead they left me feeling as if everything was quite normal... I will try to send anyone I know, needing an orthopedic to Dr. Larabee for his expertise and the considerate disposition of his staff and the hospital he works with! I hope I don't need an orthopedic again, after this, but if I do... Dr. Larabee's office will be the one I call! It's over an hours drive for me to get to his office but it's a drive well worth taking!

Needed a diagnosis on persistant back problem, refered with X-Rays by my chiropracter.Dr. Larabees complete and straightforward iagnosis was greatly appreciated.I liked his no nonsense, non sugar coated but still compassionate approach.I highly recomend him. He needs new office management and staff.

From diagnosis to dismissal, the treatment in Dr. Larabee's office was superb.

Had many visits, and saw doc about total of 20 minutes INCLUDING the day of my knee arthoscopic surgery. Terrible PA, prescribed meds I should not have had, has been 6 months and knee is worse than ever and need total replacement. PA said knee pain would be reduced by 70% after artho and ended up with 100% MORE.
