Dr. Lace man is extremely knowledgeable. He educates the parents and provides them with tools to be successful helping their children. The whole team has been an awesome support fit us!

I agree with all the other negative reviews. The guy is a complete jerk whose only agenda is to torture parents by making us shell out thousands of dollars in worthless and unnecessary tests. Doesn’t listen, jokes about personal life and wanting to retire, just an absolute disgrace. Please go somewhere else.

The only reason we saw this doctor is because he was the only developmental peds without a 6 month wait. Needless to say, after the visit I understand why. We know my son has a language delay, and is likely on the spectrum. My wife works with special needs children in my sons age bracket. That being said he actually ignored my son during the appointment, did not interact with him at all. When he saw my wife did not have an advanced degree, he actually stopped addressing her as well. He is obviously drumming up revenue for his practice because he recommended tests that he willfully stated are unnecessary.

My oldest son started seeing Dr. Laveman after MANY drs. suggested my son was not talking due to the fact his dad and I were divorced. Dr. Laveman diagnosed him as having Verbal apraxia and pointed us in the right direction for early intervention. My youngeat son was found to have learning diffrences and so He too became a patient with Dr. Laveman. we started to see Dr. Laveman when he was in practice in Sparta, NJ. When he moved to Children's Specialized Hospital, Mountianside, NJ We followed. We drive 2 hours ONE WAY for our sons appointments. and I would NOT change a thing. My son has developed great relationship with Dr. Laveman, and trusts his advice.He is happy to go to his appointments and feels at ease speaking to the doctor about any thing he feels he needs to talk about. When we have needed advice about problems at my son's school Dr. Laveman had NO PROBLEMS returning my call and giving advice on how to go about getting the proper help we needed. Even though my Ex's… insurance won't cover the appointments I refuse to change Drs. It is not everyday that you find a children's doctor who is willing to go above and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Laveman

I never met a doctor like him. Asked all questions from the paper he has but has no idea on what to do. Asked ignorantly questions and rather talk about the storm n the power lights than about your child. Will request for a different doctor.

Dr. Laveman is a very caring and compassionate Dr. who takes the time to really listen to parents AND kids. He highly values the parental input and treats everyone with respect and dignity. He will go out of his way to help with school issues and is very responsive to our concerns, via email, that truly help us navigate the world of Special Education. We cannot rate him high enough!

Very curt and arrogant. Did not interact with my son. Argumentative and simply seems to try to get additional internal services. Not very helpful. Unfortunately there are not many docs out there. Dropping him and since "follow-ups" seem to be useless, going to get on a waiting list somewhere else. Probably useful for an initial diagnosis to get services started, but my son's doc had stopped seeing patients locally and we got dropped with him. Not worth your time if you already have a diagnosis. . .

Rude, arrogant, dismisses serious concerns, constantly speaks over others, does not spend time with the children during appointments, condescending, uncaring.

Poor bedside manner. Dismissive. Very curt.
