Dr. Lawrence Livernois Joseph Macdonald, MD

Dr. Macdonald is great. They made what could've been a stressful situation into a great experience. Never a long wait either! Show up a few minutes early to fill out some paperwork.

Came to Dr. MacDonald as ordered by my primary physician and had my sleep study, results, and CPAP ordered by their office in a very timely manner. He listened to my issues and his staff is very helpful with regards to any questions I had. I look forward to seeing him and his staff every visit.

Cuts you off, only interested in sleep studies regardless of why you are there. Doesn’t pay attention to why your doctor sent you there even after speaking with them. Orders tests but never tells you results. No follow through. Definitely going to find someone who is interested in why I was sent to him.

While I would rate DR Mcdonald as a very good doctor, his staff is unprofessional and rude

This doctor was unbelievably rude to my father and made him feel like an idiot for switching to a doctor that made him feel more comfortable. He is pushy and his bedside manner is appalling. You are a little slimy weasel Dr. Macdoanld. I wouldn’t let you treat my dog if he were sick. RIH

After having surgery and being at home recovering, I was admitted to Providence for post surgery pneumonia. Got very sick very fast and Dr. MacDonald was one to make me feel more comfortable and secure with the fact that I was healing and getting better to go home quickly and follow up with him in his office. I did that and will recommend him to my family and anyone that needs a lung Dr.

He had no interest in my chronic cough, no interest in anything but selling me a c-pap machine- and that’s not why I was there. I felt like I was with a salesman, not a doctor.

I was told it took the Dr 4 months to send my sleep test results, I'm a cdl truck driver, by not turning results i lost my medical card and was told I needed oxygen and it was never reported so was told I have to retake sleep test at over $2000 out of pocket so its 1800callsam..

Has a cold monotone demeanor and if your problem isn't a sleep disorder he orders the basic tests and when they came back negative gave no more solutions and didn't want to explore anything further. He's rushed and doesn't explain things. He made me feel like he thought I was making my symptoms up and I always left his office in tears. Thank God I got a new Pulmonologist and have been properly diagnosed and am continuing treatment. Would never recommend him.

Office staff is very unprofessional. They think patients can't hear them talk behind the glass, but they can, and also while in pt. rooms. It is a small office. They cuss and argue with each other, and talk about the patients. The front desk girl named val or something is also really unhappy or something, and frowns at you.
