Dr. Lawrence P Martinelli, MD

I saw Dr. Martinelli as a teenager when other doctors were unable to figure out why I was getting sick so much. I literally went into his office running a high fever, over 100, they drew blood and nothing came back, according to him as abnormal. My last visit to him consisted of him implying it was all in my head, and as a 16yr old girl I called him out on it by saying “if you’re trying to say it’s all in my head, I want you to know that you’re wrong.” He tried to make me believe that I just had anxiety or stress. I’ve never had anxiety issues, and I’ve never been a dramatic person, even as a teen. His bedside manner with me was awful. I never went back. I ended up finding out from a good doctor who cared that I had Endometriosis, and I also had kidney problems from years of untreated pyelonephritis because doctors like Martinelli made the assumption that they knew my body better than I did.
