Dr. Lawrence Proano, MD

I found the man to be closed minded, arrogant and needs a much better education especially when dealing with all kinds of individuals - I witnessed him misdiagnosing a patient for having a psychosis but in reality, it was extreme agitation. I am ashamed of the hospital who employed him and of him for what he had done! In my opinion, until he understands all ailments - as mind and body go hand in hand, he should not practice medicine as he might do severely harm to some patient.

Dr Proano treated me with caring and compassion. He listened to my concerns and I felt confident in his recommendations. He was calm and reassuring, worked well with his staff and clearly well liked by all staff in the ED. I hope he stays in Nantucket for many years. Our small island needs well trained and caring physicians

Chose not to help me even though I am in severe pain.
