I had my first colonoscopy this morn with Dr Rosenthal. He has a great bedside manner. He made me feel at ease the moment I met him. I was very nervous before procedure but he made me comforted when he came in. He explained the procedure and why they do it and what specifically they were looking for. Did not feel a thing and woke up easily afterwards. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a procedure done. Thanks Dr Rosenthal!

I felt it was important to share this as I read a comment or two below the night before my procedure and was suddenly scared to death. I don't want someone else to read those comments and have a sleepless night like I did. I had an upper endoscopy done with Dr. Rosenthal recently. It was painless and overall a great experience. The wait time was short. The nurse and anestesiologist was super sweet. There was one needle that I barely felt to give me a saline IV. They ask a few questions and roll you into a room with Dr. Rosenthal. He was very friendly and we all chatted casually a bit before the procedure. The anestesiologist said he was giving me a numbing agent to not feel the anesthesia (same entry point as the saline so no more needles required). Then the anesthesia. It was the best deepest sleep I had in a long time. Felt like hours but apparently was only about 10 minutes. They woke me up and helped me to a little recovery room where my boyfriend was already waiting… for me. They gave me notes from the procedure. A section said something was abnormal. I was a bit worried. Dr. Rosenthal came in a few minutes later and said everything was fine. He stayed to answer my concern about what was on the sheet. He didn't rush me at all. He was very friendly and pleasant. I even received a call the next day from the endoscopy center to see how I was doing. Overall great experience. My only comment is that the actual doctor's office in West Orange needs thicker walls because you can hear the patients conversations, although muffled, next door.

Dr. Rosenthal helped me to recovery from being a very sick woman one year ago, to now living with a normal quality of life. He is knowledgeable in his diagnosis, thoughtful in deciding treatment, warm and caring. I am most grateful to Dr. Rosenthal and would recommend him highly.
