Excellent dr he fixed my knees and my broken leg

I did not care for Dr. Shall. His PA Patrick was wonderful! He did all the work. He explained everything and very caring, went over my X-rays and plan of action. Dr. Shall came in at the very end and just said hi and bye and charged me for the visit. Very disappointing. He comes off as very arrogant. Will not go back to him for a follow up. My arm will fall off first!

Really felt comfortable with dr lawrence he gave me an honest opinion and recommended me to another surgeon that is a little more of a specialist for my ankle injuries

Excellent

I brought my 17 year old son in for an evaulation after he was struck by a car on his bike. Dr. Shall was friendly, funny and professional. He clearly knows what he is talking about and relayed his findings to my son and myself in an easy to understand fashion that left us both feeling confident he had not suffered any serious injury. The staff was great from check in to check out. I would recommend Dr. Shall to anyone looking for an easy to talk to orthopeadic doctor.

I have never seen a doctor with as poor of a bedside manner as Dr. Shall. Not only did I wait over an hour past my appointment time to see him for both of my appointments, but he was gruff and inconsiderate when talking with me about my condition. He did not give any explanation for what he thought was going on, and he did not listen well to the concerns I brought up, causing me to instead feel stupid in the appt. After waiting for him for over an hour, he only spent about 2-4 minutes in the exam room with me for both appointments. When I respectfully confronted him about his lateness and bedside manner, he proceeded to yell at me (with my husband in the room) to intimidate me. He said he overbooks his appointments as a way to "keep busy" as his excuse for being so late to the appointments.

Worst experience I have every had with a dr he was eating something and was spitting while talking to me he never apologize for making me wait for him for almost 3 hrs the nurse came and got me for a xray and he never look at it before he came to see me he told me I would never get in to see him or another dr this quick if it was quick wow who does he think he is I have never experienced anything like it I walk out

Great Dr great service

Dr. Shall, while quick and blunt, does care about his patients. I came in with my history from an old doctor about hyper-mobile patellas. We took x-rays and tried physical therapy first, rather than diving right into surgery. When the therapy didn't help, we decided on an MPFL Reconstruction. He didn't force the idea on me and when I had questions, took the time to re-explain things that I didn't understand the first time. I've had some healing complications due to infection and he's been very empathetic about it. He referred me to a plastic surgeon to revise my wounds but still kept up with me. Him and the other doctor were very good about communicating and doing what was best for me. Every subsequent visit where my wound was not better, you could tell he was very upset and emotional about it. He was truly disappointed that things weren't going as planned. He gave me all my options: another debridement, reversing the surgery and re-doing it at a later date, or reversing it and doing a… different one. Despite his lack of optimism about another debridement, he had no qualms doing it for me anyway because it was what I asked for. He's also launched an investigation at the outpatient facility to make sure that the infection didn't come from there, as to prevent any future complications for people in the future. My last debridement was yesterday so, we'll see how that goes. As for my knee, it's healing as planned. A bit of pain here and there but my knee hasn't fully healed yet so it's to be expected. If you can't handle a doctor that is blunt and tells you exactly what he's thinking, then this isn't the doctor for you. However, when it comes to medical treatment, I'd much prefer someone tell me exactly how it is and Dr. Shall does just that.

Dr Shall has excellent bedside manner- I enjoyed being a patient of his and his team.
