An amazing surgeon!!

The first meeting in office construction was par. The surgery experience was upsetting. Some things were outside his control (like the nursing staff forgetting family in the waiting room and admitting they "dropped the ball"). When the patient was wheeled back, Dr Shirley appeared to be playing on his telephone. After surgery, we noticed that one area had a blue antiseptic scrub used and the other appeared to have not had anything applied. After a week, we went to the PCP to find out that the area that didn't appear to have the scrub was infected and puss was running out of the wound. The PCP started antibiotics. We went back at post op to have the stitches removed and have questions answered. The next day woke up to the wound that did not appear to have antiseptic scrub applied was gapping open and deep enough to put the tip of a finger in it. Contacted Dr Shirley's office and the nurse did not call back. So went back to PCP for directions. It was disappointing. I'm hoping this was an… isolated incident but we do not plan on returning.
