Dr. Lawrence Edward Suess, DO

He really knows a lot and explains things to us. He understands what's going on with my son. Talks to him and helps him understand and do better. He's made a huge difference and my son is a lot better now.

Straight forward, does seem to talk more at you then to you. Felt like I couldn't express conserns about my young son- made to feel like I shouldn't talk unless asked a certain question- then it was only yes or no. I was not the patient, my son was and I felt like he made y have anxiety and that not even I was comfortable talking with him, let alone my son with the problems. Very harsh.. Towards my son and is his parents.. (There is a difference between stern and hateful.) He was down right hateful, towards my son and us as the parents trying to talk to him about our son. Insulted all school systems, and insurances. Felt like I myself was in boot camp from a nightmare. Just shocked that he is even a doctor or even has patients. This was our first visit, and I myself was excited about the appointment with him, until I arrived there, within 5 minutes or less I wanted to pack up my child and myself and leave! I was hoping for the best and after this visit, I myself would never return… there again, even if My child didn't come with me. My son and my husband and I have been dealing with problems with our son for over 5 years now, seeing a lot of doctors from different towns, and states (whom I've never had not one complaint with) and after having an appointment with this doctor, I would never even recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. After leaving office, on an 2 hour drive home, the whole two hours I done nothing by cry because the treatment we encountered with this doctor. I was really taken back and stunned. When in office with this doctor, talking about my son and history, and past places been and past diagnoses, I was made to feel like I couldn't get emotional (had tears in my eyes) and was told to get ahold of myself and that it was his office and I need to get a grip on it... And after 6 years of this, when talked about my sons problems and past places we've been, I tear up because it has been a very emotional ride but this doctor pushed it well above and beyond what should come from a doctor. As a parent, I felt personally attacked by the doctor and not allowed to speak openly about issues my husband and I have seen with our son.

I think he's an exceptional doctor for kids

He is very caring and concerened about our youth. He goes above and beyond to reach out to kids that need it. Listens and helps work thru their problems. My child has seen him for a long time. Very pleased

I was amazed at this quality of doctor care for the Madisonville/Henderson area. The guy knows his stuff and he is not afraid to tell you the truth. That's all we really wanted.
