Dr. Lawrence Delano Tran, MD

Nurses did not take blood pressure or any vitals. Dr did not examine ears, nose, or throat. Waited in exam room, in gown, for 30 minutes. Dr tried to do a Pap smear without washing hands. I left promptly and will not return.

Dr. Tran has been my Primary Physician/General Practitioner for 20 years. Recently, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. He called me at home to give me the biopsy results and asked me to clear my calendar at work the next day and meet him in his office at 8:30am. When I arrived he had his staff print out the names, photos and info of his recommended oncology team and he scheduled appointments same day for me to meet and greet each one and learn about the cancer I had and the options. He also spent 2 hours talking to me, calming me down, discussing immune boosting he could do to help with cancer and surgery. He held my hand through the entire process and I was so grateful for his care. He always followed up with me and prioritized my care, getting data and updates and discussing reports with me and moving me along in the process. I knew I would survive the cancer because he made me believe I would, along with my oncology team and he was steering me. I'm cancer free today and he's… proactively referring me to other specialists to ensure that it doesn't pop up in other areas that may be at risk based on tests. I told him to never retire! You may have to wait to see him a bit, but he is worth the wait. He is also very funny. I love this guy!

Dr. Tran got to the bottom of all my symptoms and trumped all the "experts" I talked to. I can't thank him enough for his help and care. I didn't know this, but he is also a UCLA professor of medicine. Go Bruins!

My fiancé and I can here for his annual check up. This is our first time here. We felt at home. Smiles and laughs were shared, the exam was painless and quite fast. A referral was emailed to me as soon as we left the office. My fiancé has vowed patient loyalty to Dr. Tran for his remaining years!

My wife was diagnosed with a serious chronic illness about 2 years ago. Dr. Tran diagnosed and broke the news in a very caring and compassionate manner. We felt like he was there for us during a very difficult time. He is very professional and was able to treat her with the proper attention. He is a very experienced physician and his knowledge of medicine is impressive. I can't recommend him enough!!!

I have been a patient with Dr. Tran since he was at Mullikin medical center off Reseda. Dr. Tran takes the time to get to know you, your symptoms, and goals (and answering my questions) than any other health care professional Iâ??ve ever met. He is brilliant, honest, candid, open, forthright and even funny. I can't say enough how much I appreciate having such a long lasting relationship with my doctor. I've recommended him to several family members, and they are all very happy with the service and care he provides. His office is very busy, but it is well deserved. If your located near the Burbank area, definitely go to Dr. Tran. Very professional and knowledgeable.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Tran for about 4-5 years now, and he is simply amazing. His office staff is very kind, competent, and most importantly, they treat you like a HUMAN BEING. Dr. Tran is the most compassionate doctor I've ever known. He is also very reliable. Now, if only Dr. Tran could clone himself, so that everyone could have the kind of doctor they deserve in this country...

Wasn't bad 10 years ago, but his staff is not up to snuff, his office and equipment is old, his exam rooms are full of boxes and overall, it's just gone down the tubes. Dr. Tran seems like an nice enough guy, but I no longer feel confident based on the what I saw happening. Wait times were never good, but they have just been horrible the last few years. Complaining does nothing, and sometimes I think it puts you back at the bottom. Last time I went I waited more than an hour (with an appointment) and then another 30 minutes in the exam room. I thought they forgot about me. Staff is totally unprofessional, so I'm not going back.

I went to Dr. Tran's office once and only once. That was all I needed to experience to decide I would never come back. The scheduler/receptionist was rude and twice told me he'd scheduled me for the appointment when no appointment was ever scheduled (twice!). The waiting time was way too long. Outside of one nice nurse, the rest of the staff was rude, unless I happened to come on the one day that EVERYONE was having a bad day. Dr. Tran barely had two minutes for me and no one seemed on the same page as to what to do with me or how to proceed. All I was getting was a simple physical. Skip skip skip. Go somewhere else guys.

Wouldn't be my first choice for a GP, but he did seem like he knew what he was doing. I had decent results visiting him. He's fairly quiet and his office is slammed, so... expect to wait and be ready and concise when he sees you. But, he's been doing this a long time and I did feel like he knew what he was doing, which is ultimately the most important factor.
