Dr. Lawrence Arthur Ulmer, DO

I left his office crying because of the way he made me feel. he was judgmental & degrading! I suffer w/ bipolar depression & went to him to get a med. refil. he made me feel like less of a person bc of my diagnoses. I wanted to tell him how much I've improved but he wouldn't let me get a sentence in. never will I ever see him again. he shouldn't be a doctor the way he treated me.

this man is the most non compassionate doctor who treats addiction i have ever experienced. i was in long term successful treatment for three years, in a methadone center. after wanting to take my next step to recovery to get off of drugs, he treated me as if i was a junky off the street just begging him for prescriptions. as if i was some heroin addict just off the stuff. he told me because i didn't want to start taking sleeping medicine and nerve pills i will just have to suffer. If you read this do not take anyone to his office for suboxone treatment. id imagine he acts like this in all other matters too. 0 stars from me.

The facility in Richland is ok, the staff is adequate but does not work to delight clients.Dr. Ulmer is condescending, leaving one with the impression that a medical condition makes a person less worthwhile. He really pays no attention to the answers the patient gives to his perfunctory questions, nor does he listen attentively, nor provide adequate answers, to any questions the patient might ask. I can get better information off the internet.
