Dr. Lawrence C Unger, MD

Dr. Unger made me feel comfortable about my surgery and kept me in the loop of how things were going to go. He is very easy to talk to and I appreciated the upbeat energy he carried with him. Surgery went fantastically and I never had a worry going in. Without even asking about Dr. Unger, he was spoken very highly of by other doctors and nurses as well as hospital staff, which also put my mind at ease.

Had a breast biopsy. He said 7-10 days. Did not give me any encouragement at all that "it looked like nothing". Waited 7 days.Called. Seemed the pathology report was in. Was told a nurse would call me. Called later that afternoon. Again told a nurse would call me. None did. Called the next day. By the end of the second day I was so distraught I was yelling at the receptionist . It seems only the doctor could give the results. And apparently he wasn't available. For two days? And no one bothered to even call me back knowing I was waiting for a diagnosis of cancer or no cancer?????? Never, ever, ever go to him for a biopsy if you want someone who cares about how you feel.
