THE BEST DR. IN THE WORLD.

I seen Dr. Wruble in the mid ninties, and it was the worst experience I have had with a GI doctor! I had a colonscope done in which I was NOT asleep through the entire procedure! And, it was painful! After the procedure, I was taken to his office for a consultation, in which he told me ( rather coldly) that I took too much medicine which was why I could not be sedated and had emotional problems. To top that off he even called my primary care physician, whom I worked for before becoming ill, and told him that he gave me too much medicine! It did not leave a good impression on him as well. This was my mother's physician before she died of colon cancer. I wish I knew him this well when he was her doctor, but being in nursing school I did not see him like my older sisters did, or else I would have insisted on another doctor.

I've had several GIs over the last decade of having Crohn's. All doctors are not created equal, and I can honestly say, that I trust Dr. Wruble. He's excellent.

Dr. Wruble is the kindest, most caring doctor I have ever had. He diagnosed and treated my illness when many others could not. I can honestly say that I would likely not be alive today were it not for Dr. Wruble.

I had the scoping procedure yesterday for throat problems, and I was to have a colinostomy. I was awaked after the first procedure because of aspiration. When he took a sample of my hiatal hernia, my acid reflux reacted even though they had given me a medication for it. I was on my left side for the convienence of the room set up, and I do best on my right side. This doctor is listed as retired, and I think he should be. There was no questioning as to whether I was having burping or heart burn before the surgery after the medication, and I was burping during my too long wait. He stated to staff that this would be his eighth procedure of the day and he had been given the wrong file--a file for some one else with my name. I will not be scheduling a colonostomy with him, and probably not with anyone else unless my symptons return. The preparation can't be good for one's body, and the medical industry is over blown on testing for all too much--especially as we get older. I felt… rushed with this doctor but didn't formulate my questions--I still have questions and need to get them answered, but I'm hoping my internist can be my resource.

Dr. Wruble's bedside manner is absolutely horrible. I have never been in the care of someone so condescending in his diagnosis and who admitted to me, verbatim, that in his experience his patients "are too fat and lazy" to change their lives...so, he just automatically recommends an invasive surgery that's only 30% effective and implies that I don't need to think about this with my wife and family. Then, when I had the audacity to call for more questions, was completely exasperated that I dared to call with more questions. Then, when I dared to ask questions (about my own health) the man literally shouted at me that my question was irrelevant. I wish I could make this whole experience up, but please be careful if you receive a recommendation to see this man. Be an advocate for your own health with him because, from my experience, he is not.
