Summary
Leah Janousek, O.D, who was previously Dr. Nolander, attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE for her undergraduate studies and graduated magna cum laude to receive a B.A. in Psychology. She then obtained her optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN, where she graduated with honors. During her time there, she completed clinical externship specializing in ocular disease and primary eye care at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Following her optometric education, Dr. Janousek completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive and Ocular Surgery at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston, TX.
Dr. Janousek finally made her way back home to Arizona in 2018 and joined the Swagel Wootton family in 2020. She specializes in pre- and post-operative management of various refractive procedures in addition to providing emergency eye care and ocular disease management. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member …of the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Janousek enjoys spending time with her husband and their new daughter, as well as staying active with yoga, cycling, and hiking.

I would highly recommend Dr. Janousek. I recently saw her for an issue with blurriness in my right eye. She was very thorough in her evaluation and explanation of the issue and recommended treatment plan. I will continue to see her for continued treatment of my current issue as well as any issues that might arise in the future.
