Leah M. Walker, DDS, MS
Dr. Walker was born and raised in southern California and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1997. She received her dental degree with honors from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2002. Dr. Walker relocated back down to southern California to practice general dentistry for two years before finding her true calling in orthodontics. She returned to the University of the Pacific, where she received her orthodontic specialty training and her Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Walker's charismatic personality and calm demeanor enable patients and parents of all ages to relate to her. She is honest and caring and puts her patients first. When formulating her treatment, she will present and educate patients on multiple treatment plans and alternatives. Strong consideration for the patient's desires, parent's desires, facial aesthetics, growth, tooth …size, gingival health, and bone quality will be given in the determination of the final treatment plan.
Dr. Walker is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the San Diego County Dental Society.
Dr. Walker is dedicated to the community and frequently speaks to local schools about dental health. She also supports numerous school and community activities and sponsors children's sports teams. Dr. Walker lives in Carlsbad and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, running and swimming, and she is often training for her next event.
