Dr. Leander Morel Grimm JR., MD

On my prior review of Dr. L. Grimm, I selected a 5 star rating on bedside manner. For whatever reason, it presented as a 4 star. This rating is to change that rating to a 5.

Diagnosis of ColoRectal Cancer in 2013. Cleared as cancer free 2018. However, complications from surgery (end to end anastomosis) done by another Dr, which wasn't done correctly developed. Without another surgery, I was going to die. Post Radiation Fibrosis formed around, and closed off my intestines. I WAS dying. In fact, Dr. Grimm did not feel I would survive the necessary surgery of a permanent Colostomy, or the complications that would ensue. I survived. Upon discharge my weight was down to 103lbs. I am a 5'9" man. Complications did develop, as expected. This could not be prevented. But with help and determination, most have resolved. How do I feel about Dr. L. Grimm as a ColoRectal Surgeon. The man saved my life. He was tough on me when he had to be. He was soft, caring and compassionate when he could be. He has my respect. YES, I recommend him. As for his level of skill, he is by far the best Dr. I have seen, or been treated by. Trust me, I've seen too… many to number. Dr. Grimm saved my life! I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He performed emergency surgery and removed my ovaries and part of my colon along with other cancer cells visible to the eye. I am about to proceed with chemo at the Mitchell Cancer Center, although my pet scan showed no cancer at this time. I believe with God’s hand ( The Great Physician) Dr. Grimm saved my life. He also has a great bedside manner along with being knowledgeable and I highly recommend him!
