Dr. Rettell spends time with you and listens to your concerns. She speaks to you in language you as a patient can easily understand. She fully explains your medications and treatment plan.

I saw Dr. Retell because I was experiencing pain in my abdomen, fever, headache, and my urine was orange. I don't feel that my visit was thorough enough. I was told to continue taking the antibiotic and to leave a urine specimen. My urine was positive for elevated bilirubin, a sign that shows a problem with my liver or gallbladder. The nurse called me at home and asked that I come back in a week to recheck. Two days later I was admitted to the hospital via the emergency room. Doctors there seemed shocked that Dr. Rettell wanted to wait a week to see me again and that tests were not ordered. I asked the doctors in the hospital if they thought I should find a new doctor. They said that they could not answer that, but that they would be glad to help me find a new doctor. Well, that was all I needed to hear. I spent 4 days in the hospital, had jaundice, an infection, and the end result was having to have my gallbladder out. Furthermore, I had expressed to Dr. Rettell that the… pain and pressure in my head and behind my eyes was significant and not improving on an antibiotic. Hospital tests showed fluid on my brain. Of course she had no way of knowing this, but in my opinion, she ignored the red flags. I will never go back to Dr. Rettell. She just isn't thorough enough for me. I hate to even think about what could have happened had I waited a week to get help.

I am very impressed with Dr Rettell. She is very supportive and takes her time with every visit. The office staff is friendly and even though I am always late my wait time is minimal.

This was my first visit, and I spent quite a lot of time talking to the two student doctors, but I think I spoke to Dr. Rettell for about 3-4 minutes. She did not take any time to get to know me. I was quite disappointed, but I will give her one more try.
