Dr Altman got me through some tough times . He’s a good man and has always been there when I needed his support!!

Dr. Altman is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. He has continued to keep up with the issues I came to him with, that are all steadily improving. Worth paying if your insurance wont cover his service because he will actually try his best to help. Very helpful and highly recommended. A strong 5 star!!

After arriving at Dr. Altman's, with the $200 he quoted me, he quickly sent me to the bank next door, explaining it was $300. I was desperate for help, so I paid. He told me to "Stop taking the pills from your neurologist and start taking my pills." WHAT?!? That is Dangerous & Deadly!!! ALL HE WANTS IS MONEY FROM MENTALLY SICK OR SUFFERING PEOPLE!!! He doesn't listen to One Word you say and there is NO TALK THERAPY TO SPEAK OF!!! He shouldn't be able to get away with this!!!

I have been seing Dr. Altman regularly for almost two years. Although I found him distant at first, I soon realized the value he was providing with thought provocing talk therapy and shaping the conversations with leading questions that ultimately helped me see my issues for what they are, and solutions. I never felt rushed or pushed to medications.

Since I've seen Dr. Altman my life has totally changed. He is extremely professional and very understanding. He's one of the only Dr's I've ever had who I feel actually listens to what I have to say and cares about me and my life getting better. He is a no nonsense type of Dr so if you're there to try to pull the wool over his eyes dont even try. I've been able to be 100% honest with him and open up to him and not feel like I needed to hold back. I have taken his advice and have been able to completely change my life. I def recommend him if you're looking to make real changes in your life.

I have known Dr. Altman for over 6 years now and I have to honestly say, he is a very kind, caring and empathetic prescribing psychiatrist. He takes the time to get to know me and does not just prescribe medication to me. He lets me make the ultimate decisions and does not push any drug on me. I am very sensitive to antidepressants and we worked through a long list of them until we found the right one. I absolutely feel great now and love my job, my wife, my family and feel more confident and socially interactive with my peers at work and friends in the neighborhood. He has gone way above his role and even assisted me with work situations regarding my ADD diagnosis. I am truly grateful and appreciative of his outstanding ethical and compassionate care.

Very knowledgeable, helpful and empathic. He told me his bad reviews are from patients who were drug-seeking and upset that he would not give them medications like Xanax, Klonopin or Adderall if he did not feel they were necessary. Then they threaten him by saying they will write a bad review about him.

Dr Altman use to be a great doctor back in the day in Quincy. However, since opening his own practice, he has changed drastically. I understand that doctors need to get paid, but have you ever heard of a psych doctor charging $150.00 for a phone conversation?! That is unheard of!! He does not have any staff at his office, which is a bit out of the ordinary. It makes me sad that he changed so much since he was at Harvard Vanguard in Quincy. Doctors should care about their patients, and not just the money!!!! Run as fast as you can from this doctor!

He is always on time, professional and helpful. I feel like he really cares about me and listens to what I have to say. I do not feel rushed. When I was surprised by a couple of his bad reviews, he told me the negative reviews were from patients who were drug-seeking and threatened to write bad reviews unless he gave them the medications they requested despite their history of abusing them and selling them in some cases.

Dr Altman is amazing and listened to me. I am surprised by the awful comments he is receiving. It's really sad when people expect your Psychiatrist to be your Therapist. You have to go to two separate doctors to get the "therapy" part of this equation. Dr. Altman answers emails and phone calls with professionalism and doesn't sugar coat. He is to the point and had helped me by prescribing the correct medications, after listening to my concerns, he allowed me to voice my opinion and then asked to see me two weeks later. He is the first psychiatrist that has given me the tools to help myself. I appreciate this about him. Thank you Dr. Altman.
