Lee-Ann Yang, MD

I've been to the doctors office with doctor Yang two times. The first time it was for my annual checkup. The routine was pretty standard she asked me tons of questions which I thought it was because she needed to have a profile of my history. She was really encouraging me to ask anything I wanted without looking at the time she pretended she cared about what I had to say. To my surprise she chaged me for the visit and when I called about it since that should be covered by my insurance they told me Dr. Yang added in the notes that I discussed topics outside the ''regular annual check'' visit mind you I answered HER questions. Fast forward to 5 months later I had to go again because I needed to have another bloodwork done and her true colors showed up. She ws extremely rude and condescending to absolutely everything I was asking her and when I told her that I still had 3 questions she raised her voice at me and told me: You are here for one thing you cannot ask me anything else that is… not related to that. My three questions were in fact about the reason why I went in in the first place but I couldn't ask her because I just wanted to get out of there. I now realize the reason why she was so different on those two separate visits was because she really wanted to charge me for the annual check apointment and wanted me to answer to her questions that were outside that topic. And the last time I genuinely do not know what happened and why she was as rude as she was towards me.

Unfortunately she doesn't listen to her patients. If you mention that you suspect you are experiencing xyz based on the symptoms you read online she will belittle you and tell you to not tell her what you think it is so "not to confuse me". I'm waiting more than 5 months to see another PCP because the last thing you want is a doctor who wants you to shut up and just answer questions she asks you.

I would not recommend Dr. Yang. She has a terrible bedside manner, is uncaring, has no respect for patient and she’s rude. I definitely won’t be returning to her.

Dr. Yang was my personal physician for over 10 years until she recently left to take other employment with Northwestern University Hospital. I have always found her to be exceptionally well informed and up-to-date and willing to discuss any health concern I had. I also found her to be a normal human being with a sense of humor and an impatience with patient behavior that adversely affects their health and was contrary to medical advice. I have read the negative reviews she had received and can only attribute them to people that didn’t want to hear what Dr. Yang was telling them for their own good. Dr. Yang is a wonderful physician and any patient should be glad to have her services.

Dr. Yang has terrible bedside manners. She belittle her patients. At my last appointment she said she wished I could trade places with her so I would how hard she has it.

Dr. Yang is a wonderful doctor! She is professional, very knowledgeable and very warm and easy to talk to. Before my initial visit, I had been experiencing pain for months that my GYN Dr could not determine the cause of. Dr. Yang reviewed my symptoms and listened to what I had to say. She pointed the testing in a different direction. Within 2 weeks I had an MRI and was diagnosed with cancer. I had surgery and chemo and so far I am cancer free. Dr. Yang has been an excellent resource during my cancer treatment. I would trust her to take care of my family and I have recommended her to my family, friends and coworkers. Thank you Dr. Yang :)

This dr has an awful bedside. She rushes and makes candid, with no regard to thinking before speaking her side comments. I explained I had previously taken antidepressants, and under dr care had gone off them. Her response was you need to be seeing a psychiatrist. I asked her why she would say this. Her response was because of my medical issues- we had only spent a few minutes talking about my medical issues, none of which had any correlation. She shamed me for losing weight the unnatural way multiple times. (dr prescribed medicine and changing my diet) Then finished up with I'll email you if there is anything on your labs- no need to send over the last 2 years of your medical records from your last dr because she spends 20 hours of wasted time each week reading 500 pages from the new patients but it's ok to send my previous vaccination history. Make an appointment for four months from now for my follow up. (Side note- I have resting lupus and fibromyalgia. So my last 2 yrs is vital to… any future medical reference should I have more ongoing issues. I came to her because I'm having ongoing issues and a recent thyroid test came back abnormal) if your looking for blunt boarderline rude and your not looking for a professional & considerate bedside manner- then go to see dr yang. Otherwise I recommend dont go!

Unprofessional and rude

Absolutely love Dr. Yang! She listens carefully, comes up with a plan, extremely intuitive and wants the best of health for her patients.

Dr. Yang is very smart, thorough and professional. She keeps current with all new medical advancements. She has a terrific bedside manner and is very easy to talk with. She talks with you - not at you. She's the best internist that I've had in over 60 years.
