Dr. Lee Anne Bankaitis, MD

Dr Bankaitis had (has) been my primary care physician from 1996 onwards. I have varied into other physicians as well during this time, but time and time again i return to her. Her involvement in your health and mental health is totally there and genuinely so. I had been able to talk to her about all issues regarding health and happiness and I have never found a more friendly, supportive and willing ear. She also tells you what tests are needed and what can cost and what are not. She will only do the tests that are needed and never have I run up a huge medical bill on her. The patient and staff of the office are friendly, and professional both. I have to say that this year I wandered off to another UNC affiliated physician and i really regret it as she ran me unnecessary tests that came to a huge bill instead of a regular annual physical. Need to return to Dr Bankaitis asap! She truly is the best, in my humble opinion and coming from someone who is very particular about… physician and patient interaction.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bankaitis since 2005 and hope to continue to have her as my medical professional for years to come. She is the most personable doctor I have ever met. Her greatest strength as a diagnostician is that she listens carefully and reflects back what she hears said to her in a way that makes one feel truly cared for.

Dr. Bankaitis is knowledgeable and compassionate. She has a wonderful bedside manner. I would definitely recommend her and Comprehensive Family Medicine to my friends.

Dr. Bankaitis is the best doctor I have EVER had. She spends a lot of time with you in the treatment room, asking questions and discussing your illness. Very soothing manner and very empathetic to your concerns.

Dr. B has spent time with me...I met her when I first moved to Durham, NC...I mean more than the usual 10 or 15 minutes before physical exam. She cares about your mental state more importantly... she taught me how to lose over 20 pounds so I wouldn't need to take meds for high blood pressure...the strategies she taught me took three years to lose the weight but the weight has stayed off for more than 9 years..."A Life Style Change" for the better. From the age of 11 years, Dr. B has watched, cared for and "KNOWS" my daughter. My daughter is 23 years old now. Thank you Dr. B. THANK YOU.

I have been with Dr. Bankaitis for over 5 years now. She is truly the best and only MD I will see. She takes time to listen and never makes you feel rushed. She includes you in your own Plan of Care. She is sensitive and caring and is the epitome of what Doctors should be. Can't say enough!

Dr Bankaitis LISTENS to her patients. She is willing to hear suggestions and is not hung up on ego. She cares most that the patient is healthy and happy. There is little more to say...she is the BEST!

Dr. Bankaitis spends time with the patient once you get in to see her. But she can't be reached by phone or e-mail. Her support staff are very rude to patients and make the clinic a very unpleasant place to be.

Dr. Bankaitis makes you feel completely as ease and comfortable. She takes the time to listen and understand how you are feeling and never makes you feel rushed to get out of the office. She never makes you feel like you are over exaggerating how you feel. She is very knowledgeable and a wonderful doctor.
