Dr. Lee James Harris, MD

Stay away!!! Unfortunately he works for the insurance company’s which makes him feel entitled to lie and make things up!!! He should be ashamed of himself giving a very bad rep for the rest of the honest workers comp doctors!

I’ve seen Dr. Harris for years. While he’s knowledgeable(I mainly see him for med management which is pretty straightforward), I’ve been disappointed with recent office changes(he now has no exam room!?). I’m in and out in 5 minutes which makes me feel like a number, not a patient. I’ll probably look for a new neurologist soon :(

I went to Dr. Harris after a long time of suffering with symptoms, he suggested on first meeting that is was MS. He told me my MRI was normal, later I found out that he was not accurate it was not. He was cold and demeaning. When I was describing how much I changed in the last year I said I felt that an alien has taken over my body. He said "maybe you just need and exorcist or are crazy anything is possible" I have a great sense of humor and love to joke, but I was not in a joking mood at the time, this was very serious and I was needing pro-active help. He denied anymore testing and said to take vitamin D that can sometimes be helpful. I think if you are looking for compassion and a pro-active Dr. that will actually attempt to help this is not the Dr. to go to.

Excellent professional and personable demeanor. A person, not a position. His goal is quality of life. I was diagnosed with MS in 2006, recently enduring numerous relapses over last few months. Due to severity of my recent relapses, he has fit me in before normal office hours to ensure he can address my medical needs within 24hrs. My most recent relapse has affected my vision. Dr Harris has been extremely attentive and safely aggressive. --I'm very confused by one of the other reviews; Dr Harris promptly provided me with name and contact for referral to sub-specialist, neuro- opthalmologist, to provide me with fullest, precise avenue of recovery / management, particularly given the specificity of my current visual impairments.

I expect to wait so that isn't a problem, because to get to the root of these problems takes longer, I would expect. Dr. Harris did not make me feel rushed, though, and I appreciated that.

i went to him for a wc ime ,he totaly lied about my condition.he is a fraud

I think the most telling thing he said was "When she is in my care, I'll treat her my way. If you want to go to a teaching hospital, then go." This was his response to me having contacted the top Neurlogists at Johns Hopkins regarding what turned out to be a rare vascular stroke.. which was misdiagnosed by Dr. Lee.
