Dr. Lee Jayson Stone, MD

He didn't even read all my prior records that I submitted ahead of time. He then challenged my last doctor's diagnoses of Crohn's disease (which he didn't see in my records or online registration because he didn't read anything, which is why he was challenging it) and acted like I was stupid for taking medications my last doctor from another state prescribed, which had helped me. (Augmentin for bacterial overgrowth related problems as needed and Prednisone for extreme flare-ups due to Crohn's disease as needed.) He acted appalled that I would take medications as needed prescribed by my previous doctor like I was taking oxycodone or something that I bought on the black market. He couldn't grasp anything, and just wanted to "start again" and have me suffer through new tests. Well, anyone with daily stomach problems does not want to "start all over again" and go through procedures like colonoscopies if they don't need too. My main reason for seeing him was because of a painful… ulcer, which was previously found on other tests. He offered no help other than to say maybe he'll find it on the colonoscopy scheduled a month away. So I just suffer in the meantime? After I got home and thought about his rude, non-caring, non-thorough demeanor, I canceled the colonoscopy. I will never go back to this office.

I don't really understand the other comments on this review page. This was my first time seeing, Dr. Stone was really kind to me, took much time, asked and answered a lot of questions, and did a comprehensive review of my health. I felt well cared for, which is rare at a doctors office anymore. Also, the staff at the office is really nice too.

I saw Dr. Stone yesterday for a procedure. He was referred to me by another specialist. I was very impressed. For something I thought would be total misery, it was so good. Dr. Stone is personable, knowledgeable and efficient. His nurses and assistants are timely, caring and overall, just the best. I highly recommend.

I have never experienced such a rude, condescending doctor. Dr. Stone's bedside manner was unbelievably inconsiderate and his 'advice' was terrible. I've struggled with IBS for 8 years (and have seen many helpful doctors) and he told me to 'just take some gas medicine and Nexium. Thanks...I can get better info off of Google for much less money. He treated me as if I was stupid and was not helpful at all. I almost walked out and I really wish I had. I'm still shocked at how horrible and disappointing this visit was.

He barely made eye contact. He typed into a computer most of the time. He didn't ask about my diet. I never got a chance to tell him anything. He told me to keep a log but wouldn't look at the log I brought with me. He asked a lot of questions that would have been answered if he let me speak for a minute or two. Every time I tried to speak he interrupted me. He challenged me on some of my answers as if he just wanted to sound smarter than my previous doctor. This experience was so bad that I did not go for a follow-up and it discouraged me from finding a new gastroenterologist. That was 3 years ago. I came to this website looking for a new gastroenterologist. It is somewhat encouraging that other patients agree with me, as seen here in the bad reviews.

Didn’t seem to care

I came in for intestinal distension I've had for 2 years and he kept asking me about my mild heart burn that I've had for 15 years. He would also ask me a question, I would give my answer, then three minutes later he would ask me the same question and be surprised when I repeat the same answer I gave him previously. This happened over and over. He ended up giving me an endoscopy, tested for celiac which I told him I was already tested for and it was negative. His test came back negative and his office never called me after that for any follow up or anything. I'm never seeing him again and I suggest you do the same.
