Dr. Lee Zuckerman, MD

I was encouraged by Dr. Zuckerman through Him showing me the before & after improvements of clavicle bone that’s finally healing! Also telling me the possibilities moving forward toward strength & healing. I needed to hear that!

Dr. Lee Zuckerman is, in all aspects of his discipline, absolutely amazing. The challenges he faces regarding orthopedic oncology and trauma would humble an ordinary surgeon; yet he regards each as a challenge to advance the practice to new heights. His approach to handling even the most difficult and sensitive cases are with a tenacity and skill that belie his mild manner and self=effacing style. After almost 4 years of treatment and surgeries for an extremely complicated orthopedic issue, I can say there are no better hands than I could be in the care of. Dr. Lee Zuckerman is a bright star in the medical firmament.

i would recommend dr. zuckerman. he was patient, kind, and thorough. he took a lot of time and care in all my appt.'s post an ankle ovolsion fracture. i was really scared and frustrated that this happened to me. a nurse following quickly and close behind me i missed a step down a flight of stairs at the children's hospital wearing the sketchers shapeups. dr. zuckerman was right that it would heal itself. my ankle will never be what it was but i just don't stand on one foot anymore when showering to wash my opposite foot. you can expect to wait a good time to see the dr. but he's worth it. you never fell rushed. bring a book. i'd rather wait to see an excellent dr. than have my medical care compromised.

His bedside manner is great. He listens to everything that you have to say in regard to your issue and will sit there with you until you've asked all the questions that you have. You never feel rushed out or just like a number that's being seen that day. It was such a nice change of pace compared to past doctors. As far as diagnosis, he knows his stuff. After my mom had been given the runaround for 4 months for her condition, he had her diagnosed within 3 weeks and he moved quickly in regard to surgery and her getting treatment. More was done for her within a month than in the 4 months of runaround from other doctors.I'd highly recommend him for anyone who's in need of an orthopaedic, especially when cancer is involved. The wait time in ortho can vary, but it's worth the wait.

He was very nice and polite. But he would not get an MRI. And after 19years of dealing with a bad ankle that sprains constantly, he recommended physical therapy. He insists on NOT doing anything invasive, and seems to recommend exercise for joint concerns. I explained I do exercise regularly, and after I asked him if therapy would permanently fix my issue..he said most likely I would need to exercise my ankle for the rest of my life to keep me from spraining! He recommended 6 weeks of physical therapy, and if the problem still persisted..he would then look into surgery, which requires close to 8 weeks of recovery. I tried pushing for an MRI to see right to the problem, but he refused. Going to seek a second opinion.
