The office is staffed by idiots.

Have seen Dr. Skaff for many years. Finally have decided not to go back. God Bless her office staff. They are just trying to make it work with very little help. Yes, they are rude sometimes and disorganized but obviously because they are stretched too thin. Another big complaint - Cigarette smoke smell from office staff. Not cool in a medical office. Dr. Skaff orders blood test after blood test and makes you come in to the office for every little thing so that she can bill insurance for another office visit. Based on what I've witnessed, drug reps bring in lunch every day. Sometimes I will have been sitting there for 2 hours and have not had lunch and in comes the drug reps with Panera Bread for the whole staff. That's nice that they get that perk, but patients don't need to see that. While being examined, Dr. Skaff stands behind you as she is talking with you. Why is that? I resorted to spinning around sideways on the table to make her look me in the eye. Spends five… minutes and then is gone. Tired of waiting 2 or 3 hours, also. Even called ahead to see if she was running on time. If she was not, and I decided to wait a little while to leave my office (because she was running behind) they would tell me but I still would have to sign in as thought my appointment was scheduled for a later time and still had to wait an inordinate amount of time. Impossible to call in to make a payment, get blood work, etc. Phone is ALWAYS busy. Like I said, God Bless her staff. Used to be a very nice lady who worked there who seemed like she had things under control. Suggestions - Offer better pay for potential employees, hire extra people. Stop gauging patients' insurance companies for overly cautious blood tests! One of my levels would be ALMOST borderline high and she would insist on repeat blood work and be ready to refer me to one of her friends. Drug reps need to use back door when they bring in lunch. Tacky!!! She is a very nice person, but could use a reality check as a medical care provider.

I really like Dr. Skaff. The wait time is long but she does a very thorough exam. Her staff is very incompetent. I have had problems with them every time I go. They cant be trusted to schedule tests or scans. They say that they will call you back but seldom do.

Mornings are better to get in and out. If appointment is afternoon you usually have to wait an hour or longer to see her. The on major complaint I have is you have difficulty getting a hold of her office. They but the recording on saying they are closed and either forget to turn it off after lunch or just don't. She will tell me to call and get the result of my blood work and can never get it because the phone is answered by a machine and if I do get her office they don't know anything and I have to wait another day for them to call me back. She is a good doctor and she cares about her patients. She is through in her examination and for the most part I like her and respect her and trust her as a doctor just wish it was easier to get a hold of her on the phone.

office staff is rude, eating the whole time you are there..lack professionalism in manner and appearance

There is no organization in the front office & or with Doctor, They mumble when they leave voice messages and then when you call them back it stays busy. The Doctor pushes for lab work and tests that you dont even know what they are for or why she wants them done & never explains results. The drug reps get to go on back but patients wait for a average 2 1/2 to 3 hours. You can tell the Doctor does not work well with her office staff, the previous two ladies have quit and were extremely helpful and more so than the Doctor herself was. Dr. Skaff used to be more informative, now she just rushes you through the exam, maybe 10 minutes. So if you wait for 3 hours and only get ten minutes, what is she doing with the rest of her time back there?

i think dr. skaff should respect her employees, as a former employee,she is very understaffed puts to much work on one person , no lunches or breaks , dr. skaff has been through 13 employees since oct.-march no one wants to work there, they have a manager who is only there 2 days a week and who does not know all of the proceders, she is a terrible manager even though she has been there so many years she comes in 2 days a week and causes problems, that office is so unorginized that i dont think it will ever recover, all dr. skaff is worried about is the drug reps. bringing lunch in which she takes advantage of that. i think the office should be reported to the better business bur.and get rid of that manager. dr. skaff makes pts. anywhere from 1.5 hrs.to 3 hrs in the waiting room and then another 20 mins in a room and then she sends them back to have test done and then labs most pts. are there between 3 and 5 hrs.

I have seen Dr. Skaff for both thyroid and diabetic concerns. I started seeing her approximately ten years ago. The wait in the lobby is usually at least an hour. I sit in the examination room for another 10-15 minutes. When she finally talks to me it is so fast that I have to interrupt to get her to slow down. The time that she spends with me at each visit is generally less than 5 minutes. Very little time is spent discussing symptoms or concerns because she is out the door as fast as possible. Sometimes I have seen her going for the door as she talks. Then I go to the front office to schedule another 5 minute appointment in three months. I won't be scheduling a follow-up.
