Leigh Ann Mcglinn, PhD, APRN, NNP-BC, RRT-NPS

Leigh Ann McGlinn, PhD, APRN, NNP-BC, RRT-NPS, is an accomplished neonatal nurse practitioner with a focus on multidimensional competency evaluation and health care simulation. She enjoys researching and working with patients of neonatal respiratory modalities, cardiac and genetics. Leigh Ann McGlinn enjoys being a ‘neonatal detective,’ examining her patients and the history of their ailments. She strives for culturally sensitive, open and honest communications with her patients and is careful not to leave their questions unanswered. Leigh Ann earned a doctorate in philosophy from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the Medical University of South Carolina. In addition, she holds an associate in applied science (AAS) with an emphasis in nursing and respiratory care from Odessa College, Odessa, TX. She maintains national certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) …and is recognized by the Arizona and Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN). In addition, she retains certification as a registered respiratory therapist (RRT) and holds a subspecialty certification in pediatric and neonatal respiratory care (NPS).
