Leigh Walsh, M.D., is an obstetrician/gynecologist with Advocates for Women's Health, a Part of Norton Women's Care. Dr. Walsh earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Dr. Walsh is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has a special interest in obstetrics, vaginal surgery and hysteroscopic surgery. A native of Louisville, her mission is to provide excellent health care to women in the community. Away from the office, Dr. Walsh enjoys yoga, hiking, skiing and spending time with her five children.

Absolutely love Dr. Walsh. She listened to my concerns and was really thorough. She was actually more concerned about minor things than I was.

Dr Walsh is genuinely a nice person. However, I recommended that I may had endometriosis, and she flat out told me that she doesn’t even mention it because there is nothing you can do for it. Then I went to a different OBGYN and the first appointment they mentioned it, I got an ultrasound, and they found a 5cm cyst. That cyst was Endometrioma, and I ended up having stage 3 endometriosis causing me to lose an ovary at the age of 22. Maybe if she would’ve done something about it it wouldn’t have been so bad, maybe it would’ve. I don’t know, however there is options for women that have endometriosis.

This "doctor" performed an outpatient sterilization procedure on me that was supposed to take only a few minutes. Instead, it took nearly an hour and she had to call in just about everyone in the office to "help" and gaze upon my exposed vulva. She gave me 30 percocet for pain that didn't much exceed severe menstrual pain. I only took two on the day of the procedure and no more. All in all, NOT a good physician unless you are drug-seeking.
