Dr. Leighann Simmons

Leighann Simmons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. She takes great pride in being a witness to the healing process for individuals - ages 12 and up. Leighann specializes in bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. Leighann completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Widener University of PA. She is a queer, married mother and woman of color with lived experience managing the complexity of multiple identities. This, in combination with her professional training, allows her to see a person as a unique individual with their own identities and needs to nurture. She utilizes dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic/narrative approaches & philosophies, and solution-focused therapy to engage each person in the process of change, personal growth, and healing.
