Dr. Leilany Irizarry-Colon, MD

Leilany Irizarry- Colon is by far the rudest doctor I have ever met. Her bedside manner is extremely poor and shameful. Recently, I was not feeling well and in this COVID world I was very concerned. I had previously seen her once, a year ago, for a routine check-up and she was cold but I thought nothing of it. She had made some recommendations in regards to lowering my blood pressure. I am a very homeopathic and nature-oriented person, so I did try to see if I could avoid medication by changing my diet further and continuing to exercise (keep in mind, I am in excellent physical shape- I work out 2 hours a day, min 6 days a week and eat very healthy). And honestly, I had just moved to Miami and started a new job so I was unable to get time off to complete a follow up. That being said, bringing us back to recent, I felt I needed to start over and try to get back on track and visit her again. Since it is COVID world, we did a tele-visit. Once she appeared on the video she… immediately started screaming at me and berating me. Yelling that I was not her patient, that she was not going to help me, and that I needed to go somewhere else. She not once even said “hello, how are you” or even inquired as to what happened between our first visit and now. She is extremely arrogant and pompous. Just continued to berate me and tell me I need to go somewhere else. How can you call yourself a doctor and speak to your patients like that? What kind of doctor are you? I could barely get a word out as she just continued to berate me. My significant other had to intervene for her to stop and even then she continued her tirade. She did not ask me anything, just continued to yell in a very disrespectful manner. I was unable to explain anything in relation to my health. I was not serviced at all and was subjected to her poor behavior and outburst. It felt like she was taking whatever was bothering her in her personal life out on me. It was completely unacceptable! In no situation is it ever merited for a doctor to feel they can talk to a patient like that, ever! She is beyond unprofessional and her behavior was repulsive. She hung up on me after she finished yelling and told me to go find another doctor. To add injury to insult, she had the audacity to send me a letter in the mail- not with an apology but to once again tell me to go find another doctor and signed it on behalf of every other physician at the Physicians Health Group. She is an ornery and callous doctor. I would not recommend her to my worst enemy.

She could care less about your well being. If you want a fake doctors office who will never give you your results or follow-up, speak to voicemail and never call you back then this is the office for you! Extremely unprofessional, you have to ask questions through their portal. They do not return voicemail's and takes days for them to reply to your portal questions. 85% of staff only speak Spanish. Staff sends you to voicemail instead of helping you. Everyone says “oh that’s not my department“ then transfers you without you even being able to have a conversation treating you like cattle. Terrible experience, I fired them through their portal since I never got any replies. That finally got her attention and she then said I can no longer go to their office. I ALREADY FIRED YOU! Then they terminate you from the portal. They would rather terminate you and never give you your results due to the fact that they could care less about your well-being. Total bully’s, no patient should be… mistreated by a health care professional this way. Horrible office, lack of care and attention. Not to mention my exam was lacking she touched my leg. What about all the other exams. Lazy and pathetic, I think my point was made. Zero stars
