Dr. Lekha Hota, MD

Had laproscopic removal of ovaries and developed red, raw, itchy rash over entire stomach area. Made four telephone calls to Dr.'s office with no response for treatment . Developed umbilical hernia as a result of surgery and was told to find a general surgeon with no name or recommendation. Prior to the surgery I received a letter in the mail addressed to someone else with surgery scheduled at a different time then the time I had previously been given. This should have been an omen of what was to come.

My main criticism of Dr. Hota is that she did not inform me about the possible side effects of the medicine she prescribed for me. After doing research on my own, I discovered that it was the cause of a toxic condition that began as soon I had started the prescription. When I stopped taking it on my own, the condition immediately cleared up. As a result, I lost some respect for her especially since she knew I was suffering, but she had not made any connection between her prescription and the toxic result it had upon me.
