Dr. Leland P Grant

Dr. Grant began his long journey towards a successful career in pediatric dentistry at the University of  California, Santa Cruz. There he met a classmate who first piqued his interest in the field of dentistry. Upon  graduating from U.C. Santa Cruz with college honors, he went on to study at Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York. After earning his dental degree, he spent 3 years at Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital and UCLA School of Dentistry, first in a general practice residency and then 2 additional years in the pediatric dentistry program. He received his certificate in pediatric dentistry in 1980. He then practiced  in the Los Angeles area for one year, before moving north to begin his practice in Union City.  In addition, he has received  invaluable training for his career through his responsibilities as a father to 3 children.
Dr. Grant is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, …American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Southern Alameda County Dental Society where he served as treasurer and on the board of directors for many years. In the past, he has served on the board of directors for the California Society of Dentistry for Children. He is currently on staff at St. Rose Hospital. Dr. Grant volunteers his time at the Silva Pediatric Clinic in Hayward and with the Southern Alameda County Headstart Program.
