Lenny Q. Jue, MD

I have been going to Dr. Jue for 20 years. He is honest and tells you what will work and what won't. He knows exactly where my issues are in my neck and lower back and the ESIs always alleviate my pain. It takes him 5 minutes to know where I need to be treated and it usually lasts for a year. I have herniated disks, spinal stenosis and scoliosis. Dr. Jue has played a huge part in my pain relief. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Wonderful staff, wonderful and friendly doctor that knows what he is doing I have had injections done and I've also had a stimulator implant as well and thankfully those have worked I will not change him for any other doctor ever.

Dr Jue is easy to talk to and cares about how you feel. Rarely have to wait. Very efficient staff , they are dedicated to a smooth running area and assisting Dr Jue to provide the care you need.

Smart, Accurate, Collaborative, and Nice! I feel like a 'real person' here; many (mostly male) physicians cause anxiety for me - not Dr. Jue I trust him and highly recommend.

Saw Dr. Jue for ongoing management of lower back pain after L4/L5 disk herniation. It's about 15 months after my primary injury and I wanted a consult on alternative interventions to discectomy. Since I'm new to the whole pain management field, I didn't realize the clientele and the issues around managing them. They asked me when I arrived to provide a urine sample. The didn't have a bathroom inside the treatment area for patients to use, so the dozens of people coming and going were walking up and down the hall and thru the waiting room with their sample cups filled with pee. Everyone kept things closed and it was sanitary, but the sample cups were transparent so you could see everyone's pee as they toted it to and from the reception window. Didn't bother me too much, but just seemed a tad unprofessional. You could clearly tell the "patients" that were just there seeking pain meds for recreational use. This is probably why Dr. Jue has had to take the measure of requiring urine… samples from every patient before writing prescriptions for most pain meds. His nurse/assistant was really cool - she was fun and friendly, but again not entirely professional. She took my usual vitals and when it came to stuff like how much I exercise (5-6 times a week for 1-2 hours at a time) she said, "You must not have kids!". Which was also fine but she went on to tell me her life story about how she and her hubby accidentally got pregnant and what a blessing it was. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed talking to her and it definitely helped pass the time while waiting for the doc, it might be uncomfortable for some. But she was great at her job - took my history, vitals, and was comprehensive in asking all the right questions about my situation. Now for Dr. Jue - I went to him specifically because of some excellent reviews posted by his patients about what a great job he had done with epidural spinal injections in treating their pain. The consult with him was pretty good - he did an average physical exam, and he had clearly reviewed my MRI details ahead of time. He talked with me about a few options regarding ongoing management of my discomfort. He remarked about how little pain I seemed to have given the severity of the MRI images. He reviewed the basic options regarding injections. Overall, decent experience - I'd recommend him for the most part. I saw two doctors today with the intent of selecting between the two for my ongoing lower back treatment - of the two, Dr. Jue appears to have a less focused, probably more recreational drug using clientele (which isn't bad mind you - you just need to know what to expect when visiting him). Given that, if you need help with getting your pain meds and are ready to give a urine sample and work within his process, he'll keep you reasonably comfortable. For me, pain meds are a temporary solution and I while I WAS seeking a refill on my meds, my main focus was about whether or not surgical intervention was appropriate and what other alternative treatments were out there. Dr. Jue discussed chiro, PT, injections, meds, and similar stuff, but he didn't mention things like radio frequency ablation and some other methods I was curious about. Not sure why, but I decided to go with another doctor because my main focus wasn't for pain meds but more on interventional but conservative (non-discectomy) treatments. Wait times were typical - I was seen about 1 hour after my appointment time, some of which was consumed by the usual horrible patient paperwork and the tech/nurse taking my vitals and history. Overall, you'll find Dr. Jue and his staff easy going and helpful, but also very informal (some might say unprofessional, but I wouldn't use that term because everyone was competent, just not as structured in their operations as some other offices. Last important note - I THINK I recall seeing or hearing that he sees patients only one day a week. I'm sure other days he is performing procedures like spinal injections and such. But if scheduling of consult type appointments is important, you may find this a limiting factor. For me, I need help with my pain WHEN it happens, not the following Wednesday. I can't say for sure if that would be a problem, but it's something to think about/ask about.

I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis by my family dr. I went to therapy for 4 months, took all of the pain and anti-inflammatory medicine that was prescribed to me with only a small amount of relief. Went to a back surgeon who gave me a cortizon injection and I felt so much pain when he did it I was afraid to go back. Then I finally called the main office and said I need another Dr. They then referred me to Dr Jue. Needless to say he has been a godsend! After 2 days of my injection, which I feel nothing because he puts you to sleep, I am able to walk and live with NO PAIN for at least 6 months. He is a blessing from God. Very gentle and nice to his patients. Very understanding of your pain.

Dr. Jue is in a class of his own. He is compassionate to his patients and understands their needs. He has been take away pain like no other doctor has. Thank you Dr. Jue.
