Dr. Leo H Criep JR., MD

I was evaluated by Dr. Crieps via FaceTime. He did not look at me but rather talked on another phone, read papers, moved back and forth at the desk where he was sitting clearly not paying attention. I told him I am "very sad and cry a lot but I do not want to hurt myself..." He asked me several times if I was suicidal and every time I replied NO. He would then proceed to tell me that I was suicidal. He twisted and took out of context my words, which included reporting words and statements I NEVER said. When I stated "that's not what I said...", he reported me as being hostile and aggressive. When I refused his recommendation of treatment, he applied for a court order of protective custody saying "I was a threat to myself and others." His documentation of my circumstances was a complete lie! Ultimately I was held for 6 days during which time another doctor did adjust my medication. I do feel much better and am not "sad" all the time. This review is only intended to share my… exprerience with Dr. Crieps in order to help others make an informed decision when they are choosing a doctor. If you are wanting a doctor who listens, engages in conversation, shows empathy and kindness and who truly cares for your well being, Dr. Crieps is NOT for you. Good Luck

I new Dr. Criep JR. back when he was an ER physician at Sam Houston Hospital which has since closed and is only LTC facility. He was just like the name sounds criep. I was seen for a female problem and I was treated poorly and this treatment has stuck with me since that time. To this day I find it very hard to see any physician for any female issues. I know I should just get over it, but no I can't.

when you are talking to a patient that is in distress you should put your cell phone away and not talk to othersthis makes the person feel like you don't care you should be ashamed of yourself.
