Dr. Leo John Spaccavento, MD

I was referred to Dr. Spaccavento by my family practitioner after having a horrible experience with another cardiology practice. Dr. Spaccavento's staff was professional and cordial from the very first phone call, finding an appointment that fit my hectic travel schedule. The day of the first visit, everyone in the office was pleasant and took time to answer my questions. When I met with the doctor, it was among the most comfortable medical appointments I've ever had. Dr. Spaccavento was professional but direct, explained my condition, it's potential future impacts, and the ways in which it would be treated, and he did this in a way that felt as if he actually cared about more than finding tests for which he could charge me. My first cardiologist was identified only because he had seen me in the hospital after an ER visit and brief admission. If you have a choice of cardiologists, or if you can find a way to have the choice, I highly recommend Dr. Spaccavento.

Leo Spaccevento, M.D. is an exceptional cardiologist. Stays current with medical advancements in cardiac care. Other cardiologists I've seen in the past misdiagnosed me. Dr. Spaccevento's bedside manner cannot be beat! He is gentle with my elderly parents and takes very good care of them as well.

I went in because I was having a consistant chest pain, he said I was young and fine and it was probably a muscle spasm. He didn't ask about my history and I had to tell him I am diabetic and have high cholesterol plus a famiy history of heart disease and heart attacks. The two total visits were about 3 1/2 minutes long (total) and apparently I am fine. I still have chest pains and they seem to be getting worse. I called back to ask about it and his nurse got on the phone with me and very rudely told me that I am fine. I am going for another opinion somewhere else.
