Dr. Leo Allen Whiteside, MD

2nd surgery by Dr Whiteside. 1st one 7 yrs ago... When 2nd knee went bad, I knew he was only doctor I would allow to help me. He is the best at surgery, and best at making me felt like I was his only patient. Never felt rushed, and he answered all questions including the ones I didn't ask.. I trust his decisions totally. Professional through and through. Most of staff was amazing as well. Hey, there's always 1 sour grape..

He had very bad bedside manners!!! I had total knee replacement. He yelled at me because after surgery I couldn't hold any food down!!!! He never allowed a nurse to come in with him when he came in my room at the hospital!! He yelled at me to eat my food and I couldn't!!!

Dr. Whiteside gave me knee replacements. Very happy with results. No more pain.

It is 2018, I play indoor soccer, run in mud runs and do anything I want to do. Great results

Would not give a Rx for pain medication after a knee replacement. I was not placed with ice on my knee and treated as an addict who wanted drugs for this major surgery. His beside manner is low and he likes to chastise on weight issues. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR USE!!

Was very impressed with Dr Whiteside's manner, straight to the point and what was expected of the patient including their diet, commitment to follow up for length needed.

I recently brought my mother in for a consult with Dr. Whiteside. After having hip replacement surgery last Feb, and four subsequent dislocations, she was beyond feeling frustrated and defeated, and felt like giving up. When Dr. Whiteside asked her questions, he actually LISTENED to her answers. We felt like we had his full attention and didn't feel rushed. After having other consults with different surgeons, Dr. Whiteside was the one who, after listening to my mother's answers, realized what he perceives to be the answer for her to prevent further dislocations. After explaing how to do it safely, he had her, from a sitting position, bend over and touch her toes - something she hasn't done in almost a year, since leaning forward has been a factor in her dislocations. When she was apprehensive, instead of getting frustrated with her, he calmy walked her through whatever exercise/test he was wanting her to do, and gave her peace of mind. Dr. Whiteside was patient, kind and… polite, and he seemed to genuinely be interested in helping my mother. We realize there are no guarantees that she will not dislocate again, but Dr. Whiteside at least gave her a renewed sense of hope when she had very little left.
