Dr. Leon Cooper Garner

What a disappointment. After multiple appointments can confidently say that this man is unprofessional, dismisses caretaker concerns as not important/relevant or not his problem, disregards actual medicine. Doesn’t take care of the whole patient. Doesn’t listen, doesn’t remember details about patient despite multiple visits. Read the chart before you go in with a patient. Refresh your memory so you can look like you care. Sorry if it was too much work for you to take good care of my family member.

He must be suffering dementia & can't BELIEVE Novant would keep this total uncaring, unprofessional creep on board. Doesn't say much for corporate. There are excellent Novant doctors/specialists (ok, guessing on the specialist part) out there. He's gotta' be over 100 & doesn't listen, offers no help/advice, anything. What an f-g waste of time & yeah, my blood pressure went through the roof while & after seeing him. Husband will help me check my blood pressure. Have yet to find one that doesn't having me puking day & night just like thinking about him does!

I believe he is the worst doctor I have the pleasure of seeing. The first thing he said is, "Why are you here". Which you would think that he was referring to was the reason for the visit, but no, then he said, "I am not your primary". No he is not my primary, but this was an emergency visit and my primary was booked. Asked if you had compared the x-ray taken at his office to a one that was taken a week and a half ago. His response was, no I did not look at it, the radiologist will compare them. Received the result of the radiologist and of course the previous x-ray was not compared. Emailed Dr. Garner asking for the radiologist to compare, his response was they found similar findings and we took different x-rays. Stay away from this doctor unless you prefer a cold personality and someone that does not care to listen or to treat your alleged elements.

My husband had been a patient of Dr. Garner for many years. I personally think he has a poor bedside manner and never seems to acknowledge My comments. I totally agree with another comment about him being dismissive. I would never have him become my doctor.

Yes, I agree with the first review. He did sit there and stare at me. He was not interested in what I had to say. He told me he could only think of one possible thing my symptoms led to ( while there are various others, had he even listened to what I was telling him). So he sent me for a blood test, and was wrong. I would recommend other doctors in this practice. Dr McDonald is very good

The only thing this doctor is good for is sending you to another doctor. He sits in the chair, during your visit, and just stares at you. He lacks good communication skills.

Excellent doctor who is caring and attentive to my issues at any given time. Even when traveling and in need of medication, I can all his office and be assured that he will return my call promptly.
