Dr. Leon Lester is a native of Queens, New York. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from South Carolina State University and obtained his doctorate degree in Dental Surgery from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990. Following his studies, he completed one year of general practice at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dentistry.
Dr. Lester has been practicing family dentistry for over eighteen years. He began his career in private practice in Jersey City and Montclair, New Jersey. He relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1996, where he worked as the Clinical Director of all contract dentists at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina.
In April 1998, Dr. Lester opened a family dental practice to provide excellent dental care to patients residing in Charlotte and surrounding communities.
Dr. Lester is a high energy and intensely focused individual. His passion and endless enthusiasm for dentistry, as well as sincere interest in …his patients, is contagious. Dr. Lester feels the truest measure of a doctor’s commitment to their patients is continued education and training far beyond the basics of general dentistry. He is constantly educating himself by taking countless hours of continuing education, lectures and hands-on courses in the latest dental advances. Dr. Lester is dedicated to providing outstanding dental care and exceptional dental experience for his patients.
After researching several postgraduate teaching facilities, Dr. Lester chose the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) – the epicenter of cutting edge dentistry. More than 3,000 dentists worldwide have received training at LVI, where advanced, comprehensive cosmetic dentistry techniques are put the highest standards. He has completed several advanced education courses at LVI focusing on state of the art aesthetic, restorative, and TMJ techniques.
