Machele Chaljub, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner focused on creating a safe space for a diverse array of clients. She is excited to welcome new patients in person or through telehealth in the Galveston, Texas area.

Chaljub strives to help patients uncover the right balance of lifestyle changes, diet, pharmaceuticals, and nutraceuticals to manage symptoms and achieve optimal health. As the youngest child in her family, her upbringing has shaped her approach to nursing, allowing her to embrace differences and provide inclusive care to all patients, regardless of their beliefs, identities, or views. Her approach to therapy and coaching focus on providing support and resources for patients navigating complexities. She helps patients address their fears and anxieties while fostering acceptance and adjustment to changes in life. Chaljub has always been fascinated with the brain and its complexities. This led her to healthcare, where she began her journey as an Oncology Nurse and later as an Intensive Care Nurse. After marrying and starting a family, she pursued her Nurse Practitioner degree to merge her advanced education with her extensive nursing experience, aiming to help patients achieve their healthcare goals. In her role as a Nurse Practitioner in the Internal Medicine Department, she observed that a high percentage of her patients experienced a wide range of mental health concerns. The connection between mental and physical health became increasingly apparent to her, and she found herself helping these patients with their mental health struggles while improving their physical health. She witnessed firsthand the profound impact that a holistic, patient-centered approach can have on one’s well-being.

Chaljub operates her own practice, Mindful Integrative Psychiatry, where she believes that true healing comes from a harmonious balance of mind, body, and spirit. Her approach to mental health care is deeply rooted in understanding the whole person, not just their symptoms. Her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner has shaped her approach to care, emphasizing preventive strategies, patient relationships, and long-term wellness. Though she has specialized knowledge in treating women's and LGBT+ issues, she welcomes any patient in need of mental health assistance.
