Dr. Leonard Michael Balacco, MD

I used to love Dr. Balacco. He was sweet & patient & had the best bed side manner. I even recommended him to people. My last 2 experiences with him have been horrible. He is rude & condescending. Today I went for a clearance for surgery. I am stressed out to begin with & he made it worse. His computers were crashing & he was not happy about it and basically took it out on me. While responding to his questions, he interrupted me very rudely saying if his computers did it one more time he was closing the office and going home. He then interrupted me again and rudely told me to wait because he was writing things. He could have said it nicer. we had to wait for the hospital to send over information & I asked him if I could ask him a couple of questions. He was so nasty & did not want to hear what I had to ask. He said "you only came here for medical clearance". I said yes, but you are my doctor and I am here and I have questions. He said "if everyone came here with other questions, he… would never be done". Huh? Isn't that his job?! It took him longer to argue with me than to respond to what I had to ask. He then asks me what it was i wanted to ask, like i was bothering him. I said it was ok, and lets just wait for the blood work. He told me he's having a bad day. Yes, i get it, we all have bad days, but you don't treat people like this. I was crying in his waiting room because i felt overwhelmed & couldn't believe the treatment I rec'd (or didn't rec). I had to leave. With tears in my eyes, I apologized to his staff & said I had to leave & to please call me with whether I was ok or not to have surgery. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! I wouldn't have even given him a star, but I had no choice in order to post this.

He understood my problem ...was always there to help .....always knew how I was feeling ......He saved my life..... has compassion and is so caring .......I felt safer with this Dr .......
