Dr. Leonard Michael Behr, MD

I saw dr. Behr soon after my family doctor had left the practice I'd been going to for 6 years. Of course, I was hesitant to have a new doctor when I was so accustomed to the old one, but Im so glad I found Dr. Behr. I was able to get an appointment and begin seeing him when in a time crunch, and am very impressed by him and his staff.

I drive 30 miles in one direction for over 15 years to see this doctor, although the area where I live has at least 4 hospitals within 5-10 miles from my home. I had few doctors from time to time, and I always got back to Dr. Behr I hope this tells a lot.

The receptionist was rude and unprofessional. The doctor was more than an hour late because he was only working half a day that day so he double-booked all of his appointments. He did not even apologize for the wait time. I've tried many doctors and Dr. Behr and his office were by the far the worst.

My story: On my last visit Dr. Behr gave me a complete physical. During the exam I specifically & repeatedly told Dr. Behr, his PA and the girl at the front desk to only order tests that my insurance will cover as I will not pay for anything above my co-pay. They all said everything is covered. Then I received a bill from him for tests that weren't paid for by my insurance company. He reported me to the credit company and refused to give me my prescription. Now my current doctor is trying to get my records from his office.
