It's very upsetting to find out you have cancer. Dr. Farber is a leading doctor in his field but what sets him apart is how compassionate he is and also how upbeat and optomistic

When I was heading to the office for radiation for the 1st time, I thought this was going to be just another doctor. However, after meeting Dr. Farber and his staff right away you could tell this doctor and everyone in the office actually care about patients going through a rough time which i would not wish on anyone. From the first time I met Dr. Farber I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Farber put me at rest after being under a great deal of stress concerning my diagnosis. He explained the diagnosis and the treatment plan very clearly and with great compassion. My stress melted away. He was so patient and encouraging answering all my questions which often were not exactly about the radiation treatment but my disease in general and future complications. I will always remember how involved he was in my case. He is as high quality of a doctor, as he is a human being. The office manager, PA, radiation therapists and receptionists are very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, … supportive and informative. Right away you felt everyone in the office genuinely cares about you. All of them go above and beyond what their duties include. I would highly recommend this doctor to my family, friends and co-workers. I would tell them if you want a doctor who cares and puts his heart into his work, "Look no farther, than doctor Farber!" I feel so blessed to have him as my doctor. My thanks goes to Dr. Farber and his staff.

The best think I like about this client is the relaxed environment. It does not look like a doctor's office. When you come in you can just feel it and the staff greets you at the door. You don't feel like a number. It is scary enough to be in this situation and their attitude helps the stress. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes once I got there for my appointment (In most cases it is 3 -5 minutes). The times I had to wait was because I was there early. My experience with the doctor so far has been limited but they have been pleasant and friendly. I spend more time with the technicians and PA. I would appreciate the doctor spending more time with me and giving me updates. However, not sure what type of update he could give for my condition. But I would feel better since he is the professional and the expert. Most of the start say hello when they see you which is nice.. But there are a few who I walk by or they walk by and never say anything. When people come to… this client (mostly because of cancer) they are stressed and scared. A friendly attitude from everyone would help.

My experience with the doctor and center was very good. I had 6 weeks of radiation every day and I was in and out in about 1 hour. The staff was courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend the center for anyone who needs radiation therapy.

Doctor Farber (and the entire team at The Farber Center) is simply the best. If you have to put your life in someone's hands - it should be his. From the initial treatment plan - through treatment and follow up (even months and years after treatment ends) Dr. Farber is hands on - always available to answer any questions and truly committed to your best outcome.

Extremely thorough. Dr Farber is attentive, caring and good listener. He is methodical and has kept a close tab on me.

Dr. Farber spent a lot of time with us explaining everything. Plus he was very conscious of our finances, which is a rarity for a doctor. The office staff is lovely.

Can't say enough about this wonderful and magical place. If you have the misfortune to have to have treatment, this is the place to go. Everyone from the second you walk in is warm, welcoming and aware of how frightened we all are. I cried at my last treatment because I knew this was going to be the end of my daily times with the kind people of the Farber Center. Drs. Farber and Spirer should be given medals.

Dr. Farber & staff will forever be a apart of my memory. At a time in my life that was most troubling their compassion, professionalism & extremely kind demeanor made my treatment experience very comfortable! The state of the art environment of the Farber Center is calming and allows you the time to regroup before & after treatment. I would definitely recommend the Farber Center as a place the place to be for radiation treatment & care!

As a first time cancer patient I did not know what to expect during the radiation process. I was referred to the Farber Center, since it was convinient to get to from my job after work, instead of taking public transportation to Memorial Sloan Kettering. As soon as I entered the Farber Center, I knew I fit right in. From the receptionist greeting all the way to the Therapist and Dr. Farber, they were all very welcoming. The place has the atmosphere of a Spa. Relaxing music, comfortable seats in waiting room, and the right lighting. I enjoyed the ease of arriving and not waiting a long period of time to start my process. I loved that they have private rooms to change and leave your personal belongings. All the Therapist were very comforting and welcoming, always making sure I was comfortable with my process. If I had any questions, they were right there to answer them, and so was Dr. Farber. I can't think of anything I disliked about this place. I would recommend… anyone looking for comfort and relaxation during your process to attend the Farber Center for yourself and experience what I did.
