Dr. Len Horovitz, MD

I have benefited from having Dr. Horovitz as my internist for 30 years. His outstanding knowledge, thoroughness and warm yet professional style has seen me through countless medical issues. I value the real and frank discussions leading to the best decisions and conclusions based on a very balanced approach. In these times, it's not easy to find this kind of doctor/patient relationship. Even though I live in NJ now, I willingly make the trip to the city to see him.

Until I saw Dr. H., every other physician told me my medical problem was allergies. No doctor detected my underlying asthma -- which Dr. H. diagnosed on my first visit and has treated successfully. For the past 20 years, I have been symptom-free. Healthy!

Dr. H. is a brilliant diagnostician who identified and treated my medical issue when other docs brushed me off. I recommend him absolutely and owe him my good health! From one very happy (and now healthy) patient

Finally: a doctor who is focussed, thorough, intuitive, kind, and at the top of his field. Whether the medical problem is big or small, Dr. H. gets to the bottom of it. I got a full hour of his time, with no wait beforehand. This is what preventive medicine should be.

Being married to a Dr. I can tell you that Dr. H is a true phenomenon. In an age where so many have been forced to reduce practicing medicine to how quick they can get patient in and out, Dr. H is the exception to that rule. He listens, he cares, he spends time, he is on time and he is BRILLIANT. He calls the next day with labs done by him (he refuses to email-he is always reachable by phone in emergency, too) so I am very skeptical of the person who wrote on this site that Dr. H emailed him (in 2001, no less, when Drs. were not emailing patients). In fact. I was referred by a friend to Dr. H. When she described a symptom to him on the phone, he said, "Get in here now!" and it was a snowy Christmas Eve. Dr. H is compassionate and skilled and thorough. He is one of the only Drs. I know who does chest X-rays routinely (think of all the lung cancer which could have been caught early had patients gone to see him). Again, I am highly suspicious of the one negative review on this website.… The facts don't make sense and I would strongly recommend Vitals remove in in order to maintain their reputation as providing accurate and true patient evaluations.

Dr. Horovitz is a true caregiver! worth his weight in gold. He has the magic touch with his strong knowledge of medicine that extends way beyond his specialty. He also has an incredible bedside manner that we should see more of in the medical field. His staff is friendly and very efficient and you can tell there is a true since of genuine care coming from the office. I would recommend Dr. Horovitz without a second doubt!!!!!
