Dr. Leonard Joseph Leo

Dr. Leo helped me go avoid a major surgery. He is a fantastic physician. He gives patients all his attention. He offered to consult with my gastroenterologist, which helped with my case. He is a problem solver and he cares. Hanna

I found Dr. Leo 3 months ago. After seeking help from many traditional doctors with no success at finding the root cause of my health problems, I was referred to Dr. Leo. After a lengthy intake form I filled out on the office website, I made an appointment. On my first visit, I was so surprised at the length of time and in depth questions Dr. Leo asked me. He examined me and then gave me his thoughts and a lab order form to have tests run to narrow down his diagnosis. He was in fact able to correctly diagnose me with Lyme's Disease. Unfortunately, the infection has lived in my body for over a year. Dr. Leo has given me the answer no one could. Now I have a game plan to get my health back on track. With his help, I look forward to being functional again and pain free. Thank you Dr. Leo

Extremely unsatisfied for the following reasons: (1) there is no real medical exam beyond conversation during visit consult; (2) we were promised (also on the website/docs) to assist with insurance reimbursement. This did not happen. Mr. Leo refused to provide our insurance carrier with the details of the visits and we were ultimately denied reimbursement. Dr. Leo refused to provide Form W-9 to the insurance to verify his medical practice. (3) front office staff was rude and often unwilling and unable to answer questions. Overall any benefits derived will be minimal relative to the services, cost and hassle. This is not real functional, integrative medicine but rather stressful. I'd recommend you find a real physician from the Functional Medicine directory (ifm.org) that offers real palpable patient long term services. I've posted a similar review in other sites to hopefully assist other people.

Dr. Leo is a caring, knowledgeable, and very competent physician. Since joining his holistic practice and following his recommendations, I have re-gained my health. My autoimmune disease caused by my poor digestive function for years, has completely resolved. I was only too happy to follow his recommendations (as he was recommended to me by another Dr. I trust),including neutriceuticals (vitamins/medical foods). Dr. Leo was the first dr. to give me hope that I could be well again and not to just learn to live with it or offer me anti-depressants. My health and mental well being are worth every penny I have spent under his care! If you willing to do the work, he is the Dr. for you. I find him to be a great listener and educator and very patient. After trying numerous functional doctors, he is definitely a keeper!!!

I went to see him with 2 problems. He identified out of control high blood pressure, consulted together on options & he called 911. Personable, brilliant, trustworthy, is personally involved with his patients.

Dr. Leo encourages small talk and will charge you for every minute. He prescribes lots of special supplements which you are to buy from him at full retail. He will belittle you if you don't go along with the program. That said, he is well schooled and knows his stuff, but I will not be going back.
